This is our premium pulse rifle counter module. Trying to keep as true to the films, this gives you the classic 99->95 magazine load count, screen accurate firing rate, and an optional firing sound effect specially created and adapted to be as accurate as possible while giving a natural firing operation.
We provide the counter and the wiring, but you need to provide a battery, switches and, optionally, a speaker.
Frequently asked questions
Here are some common questions about the pulse rifle counter
That depends on which version of the counter you have. If you have one with sound you need to provide it at least 5V. A 7.4V LiPo or similar rechargeable would be ideal. If you have the version without sound you only need provide around 3 to 4V. A 3.6V LiPo or similar rechargeable would be best for this version.
Wiring is pretty straight forward. There are two connections for buttons or switches, one for the trigger and one for the magazine. Connections for a speaker (4Ω to 8Ω, around 2W) and the power. There is an optional connection for a barrel LED (sold separately).

Here's how it all wires together:

That's a hard one to answer. It very much depends on your pulse rifle build. Both trigger and magazine inputs are active when connected to the black "ground" wire. The trigger could be a microswitch or something similar which when pressed starts counting. The magazine needs to be something which is activated when the magazine is inserted. That could be another microswitch, or a reed switch and magnet. Or you could have a button which is "normally closed" and disconnects when pressed to act as a count reset if you don't want to (or can't) use the magazine itself as a count reset.
You want something small, but powerful. Something with an impedance of around 4-8Ω, and able to cope with 2W or more. You might like to look at television or laptop speakers.
Sure. All the behaviour is controller by software written by us. We can change that software to suit your needs. Just let us know how you would like it to work and we can work with you to tailor it to your needs.
